The
Ability Network Resource
Library was developed primarily as a service for Ability
Network providers, families, and service coordinators.
The majority of resources were provided by the First
Steps Natural Environment Enhancement Grant.
The purpose of the library
is to provide information about development of birth
to three year olds, types of disabilities, medical information,
legal rights, experiences of others, sources of help,
current trends, etc. All providers have a Bibliography
List of all books in the library. Families that have
not seen the Bibliography List and are interested in
checking out books or videos, should talk to their provider.
The provider will share the list with them, request
the item(s) from the library, and the books will be
mailed to the provider. The provider is responsible
for bringing the information to the family and mailing
it back.
In addition, Ability
Network will do searches on any information or
topic not found in the library. Books and other resources
are available on loan for a two-week period. The library
is constantly being updated with new materials. Providers
can make a request by contacting us online
or calling us, toll free, at .
